FAQ

What subjects can be light painted?

Any three dimensional object can be light painted. For most people, it’s an item of value. For some commercial entities, it is a product they produce or their place of business.

What steps are involved?

It all begins with an in-person consultation. For those clients at a distance, we will use technology to connect. There is no charge for the consultation. Following that, there may be an on location scouting appointment. After that comes the actual light painting session.

How long does the light painting session take?

It all depends on the size, scope, and complexity of the subject as well as the environmental setting. Typically, it takes two to four hours; some may go longer.

How much does it cost to do a light painting?

There is no charge for the consultation. The light painting session fees range from $1,000 for small scale still life to $10,000 for complex large scale projects. Travel and expenses, where required, are additional. The light painting session fee does not include printed or digital images, which range from $200 to $12,500.

When will I see my initial image?

Your finished artwork will be ready to view typically within one to two weeks. Your printed artwork will be delivered typically within two weeks following the viewing of the initial image.

Are you willing to travel?

Yes, both within the US and internationally. However, I’m not really fond of Antarctica, Siberia, the Yukon and Nigeria. 🙂
